• LMEC - Laurea Magistralis in Economics: call for applications for 2010-2011 entry. The LMEC is a two-year Master of Science offered within the Graduate Program of the Department of Economics. • BOMOPA Economics Meetings 2010: the fifth edition of this workshop, a joint initiative of the Departments of Economics of the Universities of Bologna, Modena-Reggio Emilia and Padova, will take place in Padova the 26th March. Participation of all members of the three departments as well as Ph.D students close to thesis completion and Post-Docs is encouraged. Outside guests are also welcome to attend. • Call for applications: Nino Andreatta Fellowship. The fellowship provides a salary of US $ 55.000,00, gross, plus benefits and research funds, and it is open to Italian candidates with non Italian PhD degree in the Social Sciences. For the academic year 2010-11 priority will be given to candidates with a PhD in Economics or Finance. Application deadline: March, 31. More information on the Alma Graduate School site.
• PHD in Economics: call for applications. Candidates can submit their applications from Decembre 15, 2009 until May 31, 2010. The admitted students will be expected to start their first year in the fall of 2010 and will receive a scholarship. All necessary details are available on the PhD website.
• Marco Casari received an ERC Starting Grant for the project "Cooperation among strangers: experiments with social norms, institutions, and money" for 769.000 euro. The European Research Council granted 11 such awards in Economics in all Europe.
